Senior FriendFinder is an internet dating site for
"mature" adults, and a place where you can find friends
and activity partners as well as romance.
The Senior Friend Finder web site is fairly
easy to use and has many useful features.
One of my favorites is the interest groups - a collection
of online discussion forums. Popular groups
include such diverse topics as "Widows and Widowers", "Cat
lovers",
"Mature Love" and "Seniors for Sex". There
are also interest groups by location, some of which have offline "get
togethers" and activities.
This site bills itself as being for "adults over 40",
but (aside from the fact that many 40-somethings take issue
with being called "senior") we felt
SeniorFriendFinder was better suited to a slightly older audience.
Younger seniors (and those who are young-at-heart) may be happier
with SilverSingles or
one of the more general interest dating sites.
Senior FriendFinder's free basic membership includes chat,
profiles with optional video and/or voice introductions, interest
groups and chat rooms. You can also start a personal blog (an online
journal where you can express your thoughts and opinions, write
poetry or anything else you like). Note:
you do have to sign up to receive the free membership, guests are
limited browsing a few profiles. Paid
memberships allow you to send email, view entire profiles,
use the advanced search features and guarantees faster responses
from customer support. You will need to subscribe to do more than
just "window shop", but subscriptions
are reasonably priced - as little as $.25 /day or less.
Part of the huge FriendFinder on-line dating network, the
Senior FriendFinder community is for those seeking serious relationships,

members are stuck with viewing tiny thumbnails and guessing at
the details. Their search function could be better. We also take
issue with the "over
40" categorization
- we think
this site is more appealing to a slightly older audience..

SeniorFriendFinder
is a popular and affordably priced dating service for mature
adults.
We wish they had a better search function and we think SeniorFriendFinder
is really a bit "older" than their intended audience of 40+,
but other features help balance out these shortcomings. |
