Chemistry uses scientificl testing, personal preferences, advanced matching techniques and your feedback with the goal of getting you face-to-face with potential matches to see if there is any, well ... chemistry!

Similar to EHarmony and Perfect Match, the process begins with a personality test. Chemistry's test includes some interesting and unusual questions such as the comparative length of your ring and index fingers and what kinds of things you draw when you doodle. There were a few questions where I thought the answers were a little restrictive, but overall the test was straightforward, quick and easy to take.

Chemistry takes your personal preferences into account - not only can you specify things you do and don't like, but you can rate your degree of interest in the matches they find for you - the system "learns" from your choices and will show you more profiles like the ones in which you display the most interest. And best of all, none of the matches will be more than 100 miles away! I was afraid the local factor would affect the quality of the results, but more than half of the first matches Chemistry gave me seemed like people who could be "my type" and as the system "learned" from my feedback the results continued to improve.

Starting conversations online can be awkward - Chemistry helps you begin an online dialog and explore relationship essentials. When you're ready to meet, their First Meeting tools help you set up a short, safe, 20-30 minute meeting - just long enough to see if you "click".

The Flaws:	Answers to some of the personality test questions were limited and didn't always include the answer we would have chosen.
The bottom line:	A unique new online dating service for anyone seeking a long-term relationship.
